ALL ONE

If there is even the faintest gleam of a silver lining to this disastrous pandemic on our planet, it might be this: the unending tragedy may bring us to the point where we collectively recognize that the fate of one is the fate of all. If we don’t find a remedy for the entire world, none of us will be safe. Staying selfishly entrenched in our privileged niches and warring camps endangers all life on this planet.

We are long past the point in our shared planetary life where we can indulge personal desires and ambitions while ignoring the needs of the rest of the world. Climate change follows the pandemic as our greatest looming crisis. It requires the efforts of every one of us to overcome our collective problems. We must work together, one mind and one spirit, until the wellbeing of one becomes the wellbeing of all.
